Job Title: Production Operator
Location: Onsite – Plano, TX
Employment Type: Contract (12 Months, with Potential for Extension)
Pay Rate: $18.40 per hour
Shift: 4/10 schedule – Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Role Overview
BEPC is seeking a Production Operator to support the assembly and testing of life-saving medical devices, including pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs). This role requires working in a cleanroom environment, handling small components with precision, and following strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly, repair, and testing of medical devices and related components.
- Use a microscope extensively for precision assembly and inspection.
- Handle and maneuver small, delicate components with accuracy.
- Ensure documentation for operations is complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Follow standardized work procedures under close supervision.
- Conduct visual inspections and maintain quality standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate issues, solutions, and process improvements clearly to supervisors and team members.
- Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Support compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous manufacturing experience (medical device manufacturing strongly preferred).
- Experience with assembly, quality inspection, and microscope use.
- Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong multitasking, teamwork, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Previous cleanroom experience.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
Work Environment & Requirements
- 100% onsite, cleanroom environment.
- Strict adherence to gowning protocols: no makeup, jewelry, nail polish, artificial nails, or open-toe shoes permitted.
- Non-shedding clothing required; all garments must comply with cleanroom standards.
- Personal hygiene and attire requirements will be enforced for safety and compliance.
