Summary
The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for the daily operation of CNC Mill and Lathe machines to produce parts in accordance with quality and productivity standards. This role requires experience in interpreting blueprints, performing inspections, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operate CNC Mill and Lathe machines based on process sheets and technical documentation
- Read and interpret blueprints and setup documentation to ensure parts meet specifications
- Inspect and verify completed work before submitting for final inspection
- Identify and process non-conforming material as per procedures
- Meet production time and scheduling requirements
- Communicate any production issues to supervisors in a timely manner
- Complete production and quality logs accurately
- Perform supplementary tasks such as saw-cutting, hand work, and non-CNC equipment operation when necessary
- Make necessary machine offsets, compensations, and conditional switch adjustments
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 months of relevant experience or training preferred
- Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and follow work instructions
- Basic understanding of CNC controls and offsets
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, lift, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Use of basic hand tools and measuring instruments required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
