Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of High School participation in Track and Field.
- Experience coaching the sport or working with youth athletes.
- Proven ability to work effectively with middle school-aged students.
- Preferred: College playing experience is a plus.
- Program Coordination: Supervise the Middle School Track program under the direction of the Varsity Coach and Athletic Director.
- Skill Development: Teach fundamental track and field techniques, emphasizing proper form and athlete safety.
- Handbook Compliance: Ensure all athletic activities and student conduct conform to the BHAS Athletic Handbook.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with students, parents, staff, and the community.
- Student Oversight: Ensure the continual supervision of student-athletes on the track, during conditioning, and in locker/shower rooms.
- Academic Support: Monitor and support student-athlete adherence to training rules, grade policies, and behavioral standards.
- Professionalism: React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director.
- Employment: This is a yearly stipend position hired through the third-party vendor, EDUStaff.
- Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated by the Athletic Director and the High School Head Coach.
