Full job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Functional Classroom Aide to join on educational team. The ideal candidate will assist teachers in providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for students, particularly those in special education settings. This role is essential for fostering the academic and social development of students.

Duties
- Support the lead teacher in implementing curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Provide individualized support to students, especially those requiring special education services.
- Facilitate activities that promote social skills and academic achievement, particularly in math and other core subjects.
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons for diverse learning needs.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher regarding student behavior and performance.
Experience
- Previous experience in a classroom setting is preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning is beneficial.
- Experience working with children with special needs is highly desirable.
- A background in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
