Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation and maintenance projects, including planting, mulching, and soil preparation
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as excavators and lawn mowers safely and efficiently
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing to ensure healthy turf growth
- Conduct tree care activities like trimming, pruning, and planting to promote safety and aesthetic appeal
- Support hardscape construction projects by preparing sites, laying pavers or stonework, and installing features like patios or walkways
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or blockages and performing routine repairs
- Ensure all work sites are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools required for landscaping tasks
- Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance or gardening preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care techniques beneficial
- Ability to operate equipment such as excavators or snow plows is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
