About the Role
Responsible for managing a team of warehouse technicians, training when necessary and ensuring that all items checked by them are accurately prepped and QC’d.

Testing and quality control of lighting fixtures, consoles, power distribution and production materials. Making sure jobs are returned complete and any outstanding items are addressed with Production Managers on site to rectify any missing items. Keeping the lighting team focused on constant improvement of the department and being able to pivot and assist other departments during time sensitive tasks. The ability to multitask and work quickly and accurately is imperative to the operation as we often have multiple jobs to complete a day. Setting a good example for hard work and being proactive about solving problems. The candidate will also work with designers and production managers to pre-address fixtures needed for jobs. The candidate should expect to work weekends and occasionally odd hours to support events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Theatre Design or a related field is preferred
- 2 years of experience in lighting and audio visual design, production, and implementation
- Experience managing technicians of 5 or more
- Proficiency in lighting and power distribution (ETC, Astera, Robe, Ayrton, High End, City Theatrical, RoadHog, and more)
- Experience troubleshooting and quickly solving problems that arise with gear conflicts or malfunctioning gear
- Must be able to lift 50lb and work in an active warehouse.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with production managers and designers on their lighting needs
- Project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and timelines
- Experience in live events, theatre, or entertainment industry is a plus
- Passion for lighting, innovation, and a desire to learn and develop new skills
