Bentley Commons at Lynchburg is currently hiring compassionate and dependable Registered Medication Technicians (Med Techs) to join our dedicated caregiving team. Position Summary
As a Registered Medication Technician, you will provide safe medication administration while delivering compassionate personal care and support that helps our residents maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents in accordance with Virginia state regulations and community policies.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
- Build meaningful relationships by providing companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the nursing team.
- Help maintain accurate documentation and communicate updates regarding resident care.
- Support and encourage resident participation in community events, activities, and wellness programs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and team members.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, caregivers, and other team members to deliver exceptional resident care.
Qualifications
- Current Virginia Registered Medication Technician (RMT) certification required.
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to assist residents with daily living activities.
- Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care is preferred but not required.
