Job Responsibilities

• Ensure operations are in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Oversee the hiring, orienting, and training of production employees to ensure a competent workforce.
• Develop operations staff to an effective team by setting appropriate goals and expectations.
• Oversee the production process to ensure the quality of our products.
• Plan and coordinate daily production activities (maintain shift schedules, follow production schedules).
• Coordinate with Hot Rolling Mill Maintenance, Tooling and Process Engineering regarding equipment maintenance and process improvements to achieve maximum mill performance.
• Plan and coordinate down day and outage activities (e. g. industrial cleaning, 5S workshops etc.).
• Initiate and/or be part of 5S workshops, root cause analysis meetings, continuous improvement activities.
• Identify and lead capital projects.
• Monitor and maintain the Hot Rolling Mill operations budget.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in a technical field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years technical leadership experience in coordinating production activities for heavily automated manufacturing environments and processes.
• Seamless pipe manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting;
• Strong Safety awareness/experience and compliance.
• Basic SAP & general computer knowledge required.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/PowerPoint/Word.
• Understanding of data acquisition systems such as IBA is preferred.
• Excellent planning, organizational and communication skills; must have the ability to organize, present and explain complex data in a clear manner to both internal and external customers.
• Detail oriented with proven analytical, problem identification and resolution skills;
• Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere with team building experience; ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisors, coworkers and management.
