About the role
We're looking for a warm, energetic Pre-K teacher who speaks both English and Spanish to lead a classroom of 3- and 4-year-olds. You'll plan engaging, play-based lessons, build strong relationships with families and create a safe, inclusive space where every child can grow.
What you'll do
- Plan and lead age-appropriate lessons in early literacy, math, motor skills, and social-emotional learning
- Support children's language development in English and Spanish, including dual-language learners
- Run consistent classroom routines and use positive guidance to support behavior
- Observe and assess each child's development, and use what you learn to plan instruction
- Adapt activities for children with diverse needs, and work with families and early intervention specialists
- Talk with parents in English or Spanish about progress, milestones and concerns, in person and in writing
- Keep attendance, daily reports, and incident records accurate, and follow mandated reporting requirements
What you bring
- Ideally, 1 year of experience teaching preschool-age children
- Solid understanding of early childhood development and classroom management
- Clear, friendly communication with children, families, and coworkers
- CDA, or a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, preferred
Requirements
- Fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written (we may assess your language skills during the interview)
- 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED
- Able to pass a Texas HHSC background check (FBI fingerprinting and Central Registry)
- Current Pediatric CPR/First Aid, or willing to get certified after hire
- Willing to complete required state training hours
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs, sit on the floor, and keep up with active children
Schedule: Monday–Friday. School is open from 6.30 AM to 6.30 PM. Typically 8 hours per day.
