Position: Long-Term Substitute – School Psychologist
Dates: Approximately 10/14/2026 – 1/28/2027 (12 weeks)
Pay: $250 per day
Overview:
We are seeking a qualified School Psychologist to serve in a long-term substitute role. This position supports students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success through collaboration with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assist with eligibility determinations
- Participate in IEP and problem-solving meetings
- Support students with social-emotional, behavioral, and academic needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
- Assist with MTSS and behavioral intervention planning
- Conduct observations and provide recommendations for student supports
- Maintain appropriate documentation, reports, and service records
- Support crisis intervention and consultation as needed
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology
- Illinois PEL with School Psychologist Endorsement
Physical Demands:
- Ability to read and communicate effectively with employees of the District.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in either written, diagram, or oral form.
- Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.
