What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Attendant position at BENSENVILLE PARK DISTRICT?
Responsible for diligently operating slides, enforcing Water Park rules, providing customer service, and responding to emergencies at the Water Park. Pool Attendants report to Water Park Managers, and Aquatic Supervisor.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains professional behavior throughout shift in all spots in rotation: Drop Slide, Parking Lot, Yellow Slide and Splash Pad.
- Maintain excellent customer service to all Water Park patrons as well as a proper uniform and following all Water Park policies and procedures.
- Monitor patrons as they wait to use the drop slides and the yellow slide. Patrons who appear to be too short to ride the slides must be measured prior to being allowed to use the slide. Responsible for sending riders down the slide only when the pool is clear. No patron may be sent until the previous rider is completely out of the water. In addition, responsible for ensuring riders enter the slides feet first on their back.
- Enforce rules on pool deck and throughout the facility, in and outside of the Water Park.
- While monitoring patron behaviors (assuring they are following facility rules) always take time to clean up any trash.
- Responsible for the safety of patrons and responding to emergencies in the Splash Pad and surrounding areas.
- At the start of every shift, every Pool Attendant will be required to attend in-service trainings with the Pool Manager.
- At the end of every shift, every Pool Attendant is required to assist in cleaning all areas of the facility.
- Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
- Certification in CPR/AED and First Aid, offered by Bensenville Park District.

HOURS Varied throughout the summer season, May through August
