The Bensalem Township School District is seeking qualified candidates for Special Education Teacher positions in our Intensive Autistic Support classrooms for the 2026–2027 school year. Positions are available at multiple elementary locations.
Position Summary
The Special Education Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering an instructional program designed to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities, enabling them to reach their maximum potential.
Program Description
The Intensive Autistic Support classroom is operated by the Bensalem Township School District and utilizes the principles of:
- Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Applied Verbal Behavior (AVB)
Instruction focuses on developing skills in:
- Behavior
- Language and communication
- Functional living
- Academics and functional academics
- Group participation
- Social skills
These classrooms maintain a 1:1 student-to-teacher ratio to ensure individualized support.
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification required
