Auto Body Shop Manager

We are a high-volume, family-owned repair facility looking for a highly motivated, energized and qualified collision repair manager. This position will oversee and direct the day-to-day operations of the shop and be responsible for managing vehicles from the beginning to end of the repair process. The manager will monitor productivity levels while maintaining high quality standards, managing 18 employees. We are certified by all luxury vehicle manufacturers.

Responsibilities include:

· Manage overall production, maintaining a constant pulse on all vehicles in progress, including allocating the work during different phases of repair. This involves setting clear expectations for the shop employees and coaching when necessary

· Monitor work schedule of all employees to ensure there is a constant stream of work to keep employees busy

· Work with the front office to ensure constant flow of new vehicle intakes, ensure vehicles are electronically moved into the different phases of the repair in our systems

· Oversee parts receiving and ensure parts are returned if damaged/unnecessary, ensure timely arrival of parts

· Ensure overall quality check for vehicles in the final repair phase and test drive vehicles to ensure vehicle is ready to leave the shop

· Interact with customers in a friendly manner, maintain a good relationship with insurance adjusters, and vendors as needed

· Set high standards, communicate, and establish goals to ensure business performance of all employees

· Ensure safety procedures are followed

· Promote a positive team-driven environment with all staff

· Communicate with front office about priority of vehicles, overall vehicle status and any RO issues

· Oversee In process quality control:

o Bench – fit for welding, final fit, confirm OER repair procedures followed

o Body – Rpr decisions, check before prime, check before paint

o Assembly – fit and finish, pre/post check

o Overall final quality control check

Qualifications:

· Must be legal to work in the US and have a valid driver’s license

· 5 years’ experience in a collision repair management position

· Ability to multi-task and work in a high production environment
