Benny’s Supermarket is a trusted, community-focused grocery store proudly serving Opelousas and surrounding areas. We are seeking a reliable, motivated Assistant Manager to help lead our team—especially during evening hours and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee store operations 

• Supervise front-end, stock, and department staff to ensure excellent customer service

• Handle closing procedures, including register reconciliation and end-of-day reporting

• Ensure shelves are stocked, store is clean, and departments run smoothly

• Assist with scheduling, training, and team development

• Address customer concerns or emergencies in a professional manner

Requirements:

• Prior retail or grocery supervisory experience required

• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to multitask and problem-solve under pressure

• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
