Baker’s Assistant – Benny’s Bakery (Saline, MI)Full-time | 30–40 hours per week | Early morning shift

Benny’s Bakery is a small, family-owned bakery located in the heart of downtown Saline, Michigan. We’ve been baking fresh breads, pastries, and donuts from scratch for decades, and we’re proud to be part of our local community. We’re currently looking for a reliable and hard-working Baker’s Assistant to join our early morning crew.

This is a physical, fast-paced job that requires someone who’s comfortable working behind the scenes in a busy kitchen. If you love the smell of fresh bread in the morning and don’t mind getting a little flour on your clothes, we’d love to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist head baker with mixing, shaping, frying, and baking various breads, pastries, and donuts
• Prep ingredients, measure quantities, and follow recipes accurately
• Keep workstations clean and organized
• Help with cleanup and equipment washing at the end of shift

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs (bags of flour, trays, etc.)
• Able to stand for long periods and work in a warm, fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual – early mornings mean being on time is key
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• No prior baking experience required, but it’s a plus!

Schedule:

• Tuesday–Friday: Start time is 3:00 AM
• Saturday: Start time is Midnight
• Most shifts end between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM
• We are closed Sundays and Mondays
• Roughly 30–40 hours per week
