What are the responsibilities and job description for the Academic Medical Assistant and Patient Coordinator position at Bennett Surgery Center?
We are seeking a dedicated Academic and Patient Coordinator to join our team a private medical office specializing in dermatologic surgery with an ACGME approved procedural fellowship. The assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the academic programs and initiatives within our organization as well as helping cancer patients with their surgical appointments and the physicians with clinical research. There is opportunity also to help with front/back office medical assisting as well.
This is a full time, entry level position idea for a pre-medical/ premed or post-graduate. You must already be located in the Los Angeles area. You will be working closely with the physician surgeon in our dermatology surgery and help with clinical research as well as other admin duties. This job is ideal for pre-medical candidates although it is open to others interested in health careers.
Requirements:
Minimum requirements are: one year commitment, must have already graduated 4 year college with a minimum of 3.0 GPA; , able to work into the evening hours if needed. Please send a cover letter with resume.
Duties:
- Coordinate academic programs and activities within the organization.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff for smooth operation of academic and patient care initiatives.
- Manage schedules, resources
- Provide support for students and faculty members regarding academic inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to academic activities.
-Assist with personal assistant type duties
- Help patients with appointments and greet and room patients, take histories, medical assisting, counseling and checking patients out
