Full Job Description
Overview:
- The purpose and objective of this position is to meet the company's goals of making timely and quality powder coated parts in a professional safe manner. Performing various jobs in the day to day operations in a metal fabrication business.
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
- This job will require on the job training Monday-Thursday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm until employee is comfortable and competent powder coating on their own.
- Pay will be determined by experience
Responsibilities:
Metal Powder Coating Finishing Tech Responsibilities:
- Sand and pretreat finished metal products
- Painting metal products with Gema powder coat gun.
- Use various general metal finishes
- Re-assembly of finished products according to drawings/blueprints
Powder Coating Tech Requirements:
- Powder coating experience a plus (on the job training for the right candidate).
- Knowledge of pretreatment process preferred
- Painting experience preferred
- Knowledge of other metal finishes preferred
- Maintaining an efficient workspace
- Employees are required to load/unload vehicle and perform other fabrication shop duties when not making painting. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: forklift operation, metal surface finishing, quality assurance of outgoing product, pallet product for delivery, cleaning of shop, etc.
- Must be able to report to work on time. Must be able to work overtime when needed.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have and be able to maintain valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
- Must be able to pass background check (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks…).
