Glazier (Residential)
The Glazier is an offsite customer service role at Bennett Glass and Mirror, that is a critical team player who carries out the assessment, installations, and repairs of residential glass work.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- (75%) Conduct accurate offsite assessments and professional installations/replacements of glass and aluminum products (shower enclosures, windows, glass doors, etc). Safely and aptly perform demolitions and installations. Cooperatively assist the Customer Service Representative (CSR) in preparing estimates for products/services, performing material orders, and scheduling work. Drive to/from job sites (in company vehicle)
- (10%) Proficiently perform flat glass work at the company facility (replacements/repairs/fabrication of windows, mirrors, glass inserts, etc) as assigned
- (10%) Collaborate and work cooperatively with peers to organize, maintain, upkeep, and repair/replace all tools, equipment, workspace, facilities, vehicles, and materials in and around the premises
- (5%) Other duties as assigned
- Physical demands: Position requires active work/interaction throughout diverse offsite work spaces as well as throughout the entire company facility. Must be able to: maneuver tight aisles, walk on uneven surfaces, work the entirety of the day on one’s feet, handle large/heavy/sharp glass units, regularly lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, work outdoors and in unconditioned spaces through all seasons, and work at numerous varied off site locations. Work involves frequent bending, lifting, and twisting
- Must arrive at work in a clean and proper uniform, be clean and neat in appearance, and practice acceptable hygiene. Must address all customers in a friendly and professional manner, perform well under pressure, and be able to respond positively and courteously to customers at all times and situations
- Must be self-driven, well-organized, and able to evaluate assigned work and perform within the time allotted/estimated
- Must comprehend and adhere to safe work practices. The company safety manual offers general direction and instruction on many safe work practices but the employee is expected to assess all work situations and adopt the proper safety precautions to carry out the work
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be a U.S. citizen and/or present valid work authorization
- At least two years of prior verifiable experience as a successful glazier work is required
- Must present valid Arizona driver’s license and incident free driving record for the past 3 years
