What are the responsibilities and job description for the Partner, CPA position at Bennett & Company P.C.?
We’re an 11-person CPA firm in the Hartford area, led by a founding partner who cut his teeth at Deloitte. The firm is thriving, very profitable, and—let’s be honest—the 70-year-old sole owner is leaning toward retirement and needs someone sharp to take work off his plate.
We’re looking for a very experienced CPA (think 8 years) who can immediately step into 40 hours of work the partner is currently handling. You need to be strong in audits or tax—and if you’re skilled in both, that’s the jackpot.
This isn’t a role where you’re stuck doing the grind forever. Prove yourself for a year, and you’ll be stepping into a partnership track.
Our culture? We work hard, but there’s a lot of laughter and office banter along the way. If you like a good joke while closing out a file, you’ll fit right in.
If you’re currently a manager at a large Hartford firm and feeling stuck, this could be your escape—more freedom, more fun, and (likely) more money.
Compensation: $150,000–$200,000 to start, depending on experience, with upside as you grow into partnership.
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
