GENERAL SUMMARY:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our CSWE-accredited social work program and contribute to the development of our students, who are committed to making a positive impact in diverse and culturally rich communities. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who holds an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, with a minimum of two years of generalist social work practice. College-level teaching experience is also highly desirable.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Teach courses across the social work generalist curriculum, including courses such as Introduction to Social Work, Introduction to Human Services, Social Work Practice with Individuals, Families, Groups, Organizations and Communities, Social Statistics, Interviewing and Recording, Human Behavior and the Social Environment, Research Methods, Social Welfare Policy, Services to Older Adults and the Elderly, Field Instruction, and Seminar
- Serve as Field Liaison to senior social work field interns
- Assist with the CSWE reaffirmation of accreditation process
- Advise students with a focus on gaining the skills and experiences relevant to their academic, professional, and personal goals
- Contribute to curriculum review and curriculum and program development in the fields of social work and human services
- Serve on College committees and participate in the general administrative work of the College
- Attend faculty meetings and College events (such as Baccalaureate, Commencement, and convocations); participate in Faculty-Staff Institutes at the beginning of each semester; participate in recruiting events, professional development workshops, and other programming as assigned by the Dean of Faculty or VP of Academic Affairs
- Coordinate the College's One-Stop program
- Plans, coordinates, and organizes programs and services delivery of the One-Stop Center program
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Baccalaureate social work education, including overall understanding of all areas of the curriculum as these are reflected in the CSWE’s accreditation standards
- Knowledge of social work fields of practice and social service delivery structures
- Knowledge of community services and agencies
- Skills in oral and written communication and public relations
- Skills in problem-solving
- Skills in interpersonal communication are required
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and the practicing community
- Ability to work within a diverse community
- Record of success in securing outside funding or ability to demonstrate the potential to do so
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited institution is required, DSW or PhD is preferred
- Two years post-MSW generalist social work practice experience
- Practical experience in program evaluation and development
- Preference will be given to candidates with expertise and experience with the CSWE accreditation process including writing a self-study, EPAS guidelines, and timelines for Social Work program accreditation
