What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Technician position at Benner & Carpenter, Inc.?
Benner and Carpenter’s Ventura County Survey team is seeking a full-time Survey Technician. In this position you will work under a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor on a variety of construction staking tasks in support of our project team. You will have the opportunity to grow and advance and are encouraged to become a PLS if you are not already. You will interact and communicate with both internal and external clients and contractors. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform Construction Staking Calculations
- Coordination and Scheduling of survey crews
- Coordination with project design and contractor teams
Position Requirements:
- Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Work in Camarillo office
- 3 years related experience preferred in the construction or surveying industry
- LSIT or PLS License preferred but not required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam preferred
- Must be a self-starter and will be expected to work with little supervision while adhering to Benner and Carpenter’s standards.
- Dependability, attention to detail, accuracy, good communication skills and professionalism.
