Job Description
Benjamin Franklin Charter School is looking to hire a Health Assistant. If you have previous healthcare experience and enjoy working with children in a school setting, this position may be the job for you!
Responsibilities
- Provides basic first aid to campus students and staff
- Administers daily prescription and over-the-counter medications to students in accordance with school policy under the supervision of the school administrator and maintains accurate records of medication given
- Administers rescue medications, including inhalers, Epi-pens, etc. as prescribed by medical professionals (with appropriate training)
- Performs medical procedures such as diabetic care, seizure care, and other medical duties as prescribed by medical professionals (with appropriate training)
- Notifies principal and Lead Nurse in any and all emergencies
- Adheres to all policies, regulations and rules
- Performs related duties as requested
- Performs all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed

Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Healthcare, EMT, Medical Assistant experience or training
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Will be required to pass a criminal background check upon hire
