What You’ll Do:

The Regional Manager holds direct responsibility for the operational execution, financial performance, and leadership effectiveness of assigned Benihana restaurants. This role is measured by the ability to drive revenue growth, enforce cost discipline, elevate operational standards, and build high-performing management teams that consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Serving as a senior operational authority for the region, the Regional Manager ensures that each property operates with rigor, urgency, and full alignment to brand standards and company objectives. This leader acts as the critical link between restaurant operations and corporate leadership, translating strategy into disciplined, field-level execution.

Performance ownership is defined across four non-negotiable pillars:

• Revenue Growth & Sales Optimization
• Cost Control & Profitability Protection
• Guest Experience & Operational Standards
• Culture, Talent, and Leadership Accountability

The Regional Manager is expected to proactively identify performance gaps, operational risks, and leadership deficiencies, and to implement corrective actions with speed and precision. This role is not observational — it is decisional, directive, and results-driven.

A core expectation of the position is the development, coaching, and performance management of General Managers and management teams. The Regional Manager must build strong operational leaders, reinforce accountability, and ensure that each restaurant maintains consistent execution, financial discipline, and cultural alignment.

Although reporting, analysis, and business reviews require structured administrative time, this is fundamentally a field-intensive leadership role. Most of the time spent in the restaurants — validating standards, observing service, driving operational improvements, and directly influencing performance.

This role requires frequent travel across assigned properties and, when necessary, additional markets to stabilize operations, support new openings, or address performance challenges. Flexibility, responsiveness, and a hands-on leadership presence are essential.

Leadership & Team Development

• Inspire, develop, and empower General Managers and restaurant teams to deliver the Benihana experience with consistency and pride
• Build strong leadership benches by coaching, mentoring, and elevating future talent across the region
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance excellence
• Champion an environment where team engagement, retention, and development are constant priorities

Business & Performance Leadership

• Drive sustainable sales growth by strengthening operational execution and guest-centric strategies
• Partner with restaurant leadership to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and unlock performance potential
• Protect profitability through disciplined labor management, cost awareness, and smart decision-making
• Use data, field observations, and business insight to guide actions and priorities

Operational & Guest Experience Excellence

• Safeguard the integrity of the Benihana brand, ensuring every restaurant consistently delivers exceptional food, service, and atmosphere
• Maintain a visible, hands-on presence in restaurants, reinforcing standards and supporting leaders during key service periods
• Identify operational opportunities and implement improvements that elevate both guest satisfaction and financial performance
• Serve as a cultural and operational role model across the region

What We’re Looking For

• An experienced multi-unit leader with a genuine passion for hospitality and people development
• Proven success leading high-volume, full-service restaurants with strong financial and operational results
• A leader who thrives in dynamic, high-energy environments and inspires teams to perform at their best
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate metrics into meaningful action
• A relationship-driven operator who builds trust, credibility, and alignment with restaurant teams
• Comfortable with restaurant systems, reporting tools, and operational technology
• Willingness to travel regularly and maintain a strong field presence
