Job Description
This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of assigned buildings, classrooms, and office spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning classrooms and offices, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and dusting.
- Operating custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet shampoo machines, and floor sanders.
- Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as tightening loose screws and changing light bulbs.
- Wearing protective clothing and using safety equipment as assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of basic methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work.
- Able to learn schedules, procedures, and the use of tools and equipment used in custodial and simple maintenance work.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and independently on evening or weekend shifts.
Physical Abilities and Working Conditions:
The incumbent must be able to perform duties that require walking, bending, stooping, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
