Benhaven Residential is seeking Per Diem Direct Support Professionals. The Per Diem Direct Support Professional will provide care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting. This position is on an as-needed basis, serving as a substitute for regular staff members when they are unavailable.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management
- Support individuals in participating in recreational and social activities
- Provide transportation to appointments and outings as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean living environment for individuals
- Document observations and incidents in daily logs
- Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and other team members
- Attend training sessions to improve skills and knowledge in the field
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Ability to pass a background check
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility in scheduling and availability to work on short notice
