Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, and finishing
- Support carpentry activities including framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, and formwork construction
- Aid in concrete pouring, finishing, rebar installation, and concrete cutting to ensure quality standards are met
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute construction plans and specifications
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, heavy lifting, scaffolding, and equipment operation
- Perform general labor tasks such as heavy lifting, site cleanup, material hauling, and assisting skilled trades on various projects
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction projects with knowledge of various trades such as masonry, roofing, plastering, tile laying, and restoration
- Mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and blueprint specification interpretation is a plus
- Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, working at heights or in confined spaces as needed
- Valid driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred for site transportation needs
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in areas like metal stud framing, welding, flooring installation or drywall finishing
