Position Summary
Reporting to the BCP Operating Partners (Rupal Patel, Brian Staff, and Thomas Schofield), the Director, Recruiting will lead all mid-level functional talent acquisition efforts across BCP Portfolio Companies (“Portcos”). This individual will play a critical role in building strong functional teams below the executive level and supporting value creation initiatives.
The Director, Recruiting will operate as a strategic partner to deal teams, operating partners, and Portco leadership, owning the full cycle of recruiting for key mid-level roles (e.g. Controller, HR leads, IT leads, commercial managers, and operations). This individual will bring a proactive, hands-on approach to talent mapping, candidate development, and process execution while helping to institutionalize best-in-class recruiting practices across the portfolio.
This role requires a highly driven, relationship-oriented leader who can operate with urgency, discretion, and sound judgement in a fast-paced private equity environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead recruiting efforts across BCP Portcos for mid-level functional leadership roles (e.g. Controller, HR, IT, sales, operations)
- Partner with deals teams and operating partners to assess talent needs pre and post-acquisition, with a focus on building out functional capabilities
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-quality mid-level talent across BCPs core industry verticals
- Develop proactive talent mapping strategies for priority roles
- Manage and execute full-cycle recruiting processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing and closing candidates
- Drive consistent, high-quality candidate experience aligned with BCP’s brand and values
- Develop and track recruiting metrics to improve efficiency, quality of hire, and time-to-fill
- Build scalable recruiting processes, tools, and playbooks for use across Portfolio
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of over 4 years of recruiting experience, with a strong track record of placing mid-level functional roles with private equity or BCP Portco verticals. This individual will demonstrate the ability to operate both strategically and tactically, with a hands-on approach to sourcing and closing high-quality candidates across multiple functions.
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in full-cycle recruiting, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence hiring managers and senior stakeholders. Experience working closely with private equity firms, operating partners, and portfolio company leadership teams is highly preferred.
