Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions to ensure effective treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, toileting, and dressing, promoting independence and self-care skills
- Support teaching sessions by reinforcing learning objectives through engaging activities tailored to each individual’s needs
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by securely managing medical records, documentation, and client confidentiality at all times
- Collaborate with supervisors, families, and care teams to develop and update personalized care plans that reflect each client’s goals and progress
- Contribute to a positive behavioral health environment by applying behavior management techniques that promote safety, respect, and motivation
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is essential
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior management strategies effectively
- Excellent data collection skills to track client progress accurately over time
- Compassionate attitude with a passion for teaching and supporting individuals through patient care approaches
- Ability to adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines ensuring confidentiality and privacy of all client information
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required
