Job Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible of preparing and processing all payroll activities for corporate and clinical team members and ensuring the timely and accurate payment of employee wages.
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payrolls including off-cycles for 2000 employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including tax obligations and labor laws.
- Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors, coordinate with HRIS/Payroll System as appropriate
- Generate payroll and management reports as requested
- Asist with Year-end payroll activities including W2 and 1099 processing and audits.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments including accounting, finance, and operations
- Help determine and communicate policies that support the organization’s needs
- Review and signoff on time sheets, resolve discrepancies with field leaders as needed.
- Assists with Audits of documents received and files documents into appropriate employee electronic files
- Respond to employee and agency inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of payroll processing for both hourly and salaried employees.
- Researches and responds to inquiries from team members, managers, and outside agencies and resolves issues that arise
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and highly sensitive personal information.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, quality work.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis for payroll reporting and reconciliation
- Experience with ADP systems preferred (ADP Lyric is and Workforce Manager are the HRIS/Payroll system in place)
Salary : $23 - $35
