We are actively seeking a Orthodontic Treatment Lead to join our team. The Orthodontic Team Lead (OTL) is responsible for the day-to-day function and management of the assigned team. The OTL drives case acceptance by assisting patients with questions about treatment plan, monitors patient’s progress to ensure completion of treatment plan, billing, and post-treatment care.

Work Schedule & Expectations
- Doctor Days:
- Regular Schedule: Thursdays & Fridays, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- One Week per Month: Fridays 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Administrative Hours:
- Flexible on the day, but preference is for Tuesdays or Wednesdays
- 4-8 hours depending on office needs

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operational readiness, appearance and presentation of the team / work space
- Obtain high treatment acceptance by explaining cost of treatment, insurance coverage, and finance options
- Direct supervisor for assigned team with the ability to professionally coach, develop, and deliver disciplinary actions as needed to manage performance
- Ensures the patients receive a great experience
- Patient Communication and Education: Explain treatment plans and timeline to patients and families in clear, simple terms. Address concerns and answer questions.
- Financial Coordination: Present financing options and assist patients with affording care. Educate patients on insurance coverage and payment options. Ensure timely payment collection and manage outstanding balances
- Administrative Duties: Schedule and confirm appointments. Maintain detailed patient records (medical history, treatment in progress). Submit paperwork to insurance
- Technical Assistance: Operate X-ray machines and assist with clinical tasks when required (if certified)
- Solicit referrals from patients post treatment and track satisfaction with work provided
- Performs to the highest integrity by adhering to all government regulations, company standards, and company compliance programs
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- High School Degree or GED equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 years working experience as an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator in another practice is required
- 3 years management experience (preferably in healthcare or dental environment)
- High level knowledge of Orthodontics and associated treatment planning preferred
- State certification may be required dependent upon location
- Strong written and oral communication skills required
- Additional certification may be required dependent on location
- Computer Proficiency - comfortable in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Understand and have the ability to effectively communicate techniques utilized in the Orthodontic field
- Have a detailed knowledge of dental insurances, service limits, PPO, Self-Pay collections, and financing options
- Dental Radiation Safety Certification preferred
- 3 years of sales or customer experience strongly preferred
- High level knowledge of Orthodontics and associated treatment planning preferred
- Ability to articulate techniques utilized in the Orthodontic field, treatment plan presentations and CDT codes highly preferred
- Knowledge of dental insurances, service limits, PPO, Self-Pay collections, and financing options preferred
- Proficiency in computer usage and Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred
- Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus
- Dental Radiation Safety Certification preferred
The nature of work requires the ability to:
- Effectively communicate and exchange information with patients, their parents, clinicians, and staff
- Operate a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment
- Lift/carry up to 30 lbs and be able to twist, turn, bend, and stoop
