Job Description
The Client Manager is responsible for the following:
- Ensures that daily trade activity is reviewed no less than 30 minutes prior to each fund deadline.
- Assists in identifying obvious errors; ensures that corrections are made or management is notified no later than 15 minutes prior to each fund deadline.
- Places trades as specified by trade procedure by specific fund deadline.
- Responds professionally to questions and advises regarding problems and action taken on all client trade issues within one hour of notification.
- Submits and approves wires by the deadlines in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Ensures that plan and/or client cash is accurately prepared and reconciled to SunGard by the deadline.
- Ensures dividends are posted to SunGard with 48 hours of fund posting.
- Maintains fund and plan information/setup; ensures changes are received from an appropriate source and that required documentation has been provided.
- Compiles all legal documents from client and/or plan; follows up as needed to ensure all paperwork has been received.
- Opens accounts at requested fund families.
- Oversees client reporting of revenue sharing proceeds.
- Participates in the preparation of the annual review for client.
- Covers for other CM responsibilities when needed.
- Develops and maintains effective interpersonal relationships and timely communications with internal business partners, clients and/or third party contacts.
- Actively identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and implements follow-up on actions taken.
Desired Background
- Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting or a business-related area
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be detail-oriented
- Ability to work overtime as needed
