We are a full-service firm, providing benefits administration and consulting on everything from benefit plan design, underwriting claim analytics, funding solutions, compliance and more.
Position Summary
At BRSi, we are passionate about providing our clients with exceptional service and we are dedicated to their success. We are seeking a motivated Employee Benefit Associate to support our Benefit Advisors with client questions, plan quoting and analysis, marketing proposals, and client communications. Must be able to think on your own, solve problems efficiently and accurately and have a strong sense of empathy for your team members and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Benefit Advisors in review and facilitation of renewals with carriers, internal support staff, and clients.
- Support Benefit Advisors in managing client needs to ensure renewals, carrier quotes, and marketing proposals are accurate and communicated to the client in a timely manner.
- Assist Benefit Advisors in client education meetings such as pre-renewal planning, renewal presentations, and client open enrollment meetings.
- Assist Benefit Advisors and service team with assembly/creation of accurate and customized client communications such as marketing proposals, annual enrollment kits, employee and client presentations, required benefit notices, memos and newsletters, benefit summaries, and enrollment forms.
- Resolve client issues and concerns and escalate as necessary with carriers and other vendors.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet varying deadlines for completion.
- Stay up to date on carrier products, insurance regulations and laws impacting clients by attending seminars, webinars, and reading carrier and regulatory updates.
- Accurately maintain and keep current client files in assigned book of business including but not limited to renewal and carrier correspondence, sales and/or change logs and client correspondence / documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in human resources, employee benefits and/or insurance preferred
Abilities required:
- Basic understanding of insurance products and regulations
- Proficient in MS Office Software, especially Excel (understanding of pivot tables preferred)
- Proficient oral/written communications skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Detail-oriented
Work Schedule:
First 90 days, four days in/one day remote. After 90 days, three days in/two days remote.
