The Jr. Copywriter drives the naming, packaging and web copy, campaign messaging, and storytelling for all Promotional launches and materials, including (but not limited to) the Global Promo Program, Travel Retail, seasonal promotional activations such as Holiday, and market-specific promotional requests. This person will manage project timelines and deliverables with the New Product Project Management team and partner with key stakeholders in Promotional Marketing to convey the strategy and positioning of each promo set while maintaining our signature Benefit DNA tone, voice and humor.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate closely with Promo Marketing team to understand promotional launch strategy, Art & Packaging team to align on packaging set-up and copy placement, and Project Managers to meet all deadlines and deliverables for each project
- Support Assoc. Manager, Copy & Story by providing copy for all Promo Marketing assets and strategy/forecasting decks
- Proactively manage project timelines and pivot quickly when changes in strategy, packaging or set contents arise, and serve as key reviewer of final Promo set artwork in ProofHQ
- Prepare all Promo set names and copy for internal bi-weekly reviews with SVP, Global Creative and integrate feedback
- Support Assoc. Manager, Copy & Story by closely monitoring industry news, sustainability initiatives and competitor brand copy and storytelling to contribute to daily team Beauty Bytes news roundup; under Assoc, Manager, Copy & Story’s guidance, build qualitative reports and extract key learnings and trends to share with Global Copy & Story Team
Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience in copywriting, marketing writing, communications, content creation, social media management and/or public relations
- Knowledge of SEO and search tools a plus
- Creative writing experience and past writing samples (can be from a professional, collegiate and/or personal capacity)
- Experience with trend analysis a plus
- Voracious consumer of beauty, luxury and fashion news and media
