The Data Processing Specialist contributes to the team who administers activities related to client and carrier datasets. This position will create various output files for comparison, research, and upload into the organization’s and business partner’s systems. This position also supports data and task automations by assisting in the evaluation and testing of processes
related to data files. The Data Processing Specialist works closely with the Data Integration team to identify data processing solutions that create efficiencies for the organization’s operational business needs.
LOCATION: Hybrid, coming into the corporate office once per month.

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of the salary range for this position. BCInsourcing takes into consideration a combination of the selected candidate’s skill set, experience, qualifications, licensure, and other job-related reasons as it relates to the position. At our Company, generally, an individual would not be hired at the top of the range of the role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each posting.

Essential Functions
- Perform time-sensitive data processing and operations on files containing both client and carrier data. Files may include, but are not limited to, census, remittance, auditing, billing and plan inventories.
- Perform standard operational procedures on various data files including manipulation of data and format standardization.
- Perform data administration and operations between multiple file types, such as Excel, CSV and Text.
- Identify and correct errors in data sets and escalate file discrepancies accordingly as needed.
- Produce data queries, audits, and reports by extracting and analyzing information from multiple data sources.
- Perform quality checks on all stages of data uploading, auditing and processing.
- Adhere to regulations and company policies and procedures with regards to data security.
- Aid in improving efficiency and productivity of data processing across internal business units.
- Resolve and/or escalate critical issues to the direct manager a timely fashion.
- Participate in data systems monitoring and escalate errors to the Data Integration team.
- Support Open Enrollment reporting from CRM, contact center, and other systems as needed.
- Test both existing and proposed operational data processes.
- Maintain accurately detailed process documentation for assigned data file manipulation.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent and/or related work experience equivalency.
- Advanced experience in data processing and data administration.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including varying file formats, pivot tables, referential formulas and advanced filtering.
- Experience executing a Standard Operating Procedure while dealing with a variety of variables in performance of duties.
- Ability to evaluate operational methods, document and diagnose data errors, and solve for process efficiencies.
- Experience working individually and as part of team.
- Advanced education or certification completed or in process.
- Experience configuring file transfer protocols across various data connection solutions.
- Knowledge of ETL Suites, Visual Basic Programming, or SQL queries.
- Experience with Google Apps, Salesforce.com, and other SaaS applications .
- Experience in insurance or benefits fields.
