Structural Designer
Area: Chicago or Lisle, IL
Shift: 1st Shift
Job Summary:
- Prepare structural drawings for a diverse array of structures, including buildings, substations, and more — spanning reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry
- Apply company and industry standards, guidelines, specifications, and procedures when preparing design drawings, including for reinforced concrete, steel design, welded and bolted steel connections, and foundation details
- Manage the quality review process for assigned projects
- Assist in file management, including project documentation, scoping documents, design input documentation, quality checklists, and project filing
- Regularly communicate and coordinate project activities with senior-level designers and engineers to resolve design issues
- Work independently with general direction while collaborating effectively with other team members
- Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD and/or MicroStation to support design deliverables
