IN NEED OF A SEASONED WELL VERSED EXPERIENCED MEDICAL BILLER / CODER. COMPETITIVE PAY DEPENDENT ON SKILL LEVEL !!
Medical Biller / Coder needed for Multidisciplinary office with multiple providers.
3 yrs. minimum experienced desired not mandatory.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
Monitor patient accounts to ensure proper reimbursement is achieved.
Contact insurance companies, government payors, patients and all other places necessary to resolve outstanding accounts and receivable balances.
Take care of all patient inquires and correspondence in a professional and courteous manner and handling all paperwork needs to resolve outstanding claims.
Tend to all denial, non-payments and submit appeals for all outstanding claims.
Submit corrected and secondary claims as necessary.
Obtain submit documentation as needed for medical necessity and all needs to resolve all open claims.
Post payments from patients, EFT payments, and any other sources of payment.
Develop proficiency with the practice management software, submitting claims, running AR reports, and account inquiries. Utilize Aging reports to monitor accounts and work to improve aging categories of outstanding money owed.
Monitor and keep up to date on relevant regulatory standards including Medicare/ Medicaid billing, CPT and ICD-10 coding, third party payer rules and regulations and others.
Analyze accounts receivable aging reports and identify problem accounts and perform necessary follow-up to resolve outstanding claims.
Billing statements for patients, and show excellence in customer service.
Handle Denials, submit appeals and communicate with paers to resolve all outstanding claims.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
