What are the responsibilities and job description for the Church Custodian position at Beneficent Church, UCC?
SCOPE OF POSITION: The Church Custodian serves as the primary caretaker for the Church property. The Church Custodian reports to the Facilities Manager and works cooperatively with the staff team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain cleanliness of the Church according to the provided cleaning schedule.
- Includes daily cleaning of select bathrooms
- Dusting
- Sweeping/Mopping
- Trash removal
- Restocking paper goods as needed
- Additional cleaning as needed
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
- Prior experience with commercial cleaning and the ability to self-manage.
- Ability to adapt to situations as needed and respond to them appropriately.
- Willingness to support the Beneficent Mission and to abide by the Beneficent Safe Space Policies and Procedures and the Beneficent Relational Covenant.
POSITION DETAILS: This is an hourly position that is paid bi-weekly for up to 20 hours per week. The normal work hours are Monday through Friday mornings. Work hours may be adjusted to accommodate events in the building. Additional hours may be required on occasion.
