Overview
The Environmental Services Director is responsible for overseeing the environmental service department, which includes housekeeping, laundry, plant operations, and maintenance.
Responsibilities
Manages the selection, training, development, and performance of the department’s staff. Manages the department’s budget and participates in the strategic planning for the community. Manages maintenance, general repairs, and construction work to the facility and general repairs to the residents’ equipment.
Qualifications
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license as appropriate and acceptable driving record that meets BHS requirements.
- Two (2) years of building maintenance experience.
- Possess or have ability to obtain a minimum of a Special boiler’s license for campuses utilizing boilers
- Understanding of basic mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Qualifications Preferred
- Associate’s Degree in the Building Maintenance field
- Previous experience in a health care setting
- Five (5) years of manager experience.
