Alumni Relations Coordinator
Position Summary
The Alumni Relations Coordinator supports the institution's mission by fostering meaningful relationships with alumni, increasing engagement opportunities, and strengthening connections between alumni, donors, students, and the campus community.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of Alumni Relations and the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the Alumni Relations Coordinator will:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with alumni through ongoing communication, outreach, and engagement initiatives.
- Maintain and manage alumni and donor records within the CRM database, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely entry of constituent information, engagement activities, contact updates, and relationship history.
- Collect, enter, and update alumni class notes and life events, including career advancements, professional achievements, relocations, marriages, births, retirements, and deaths, for use in alumni publications, communications, and institutional records.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of alumni and advancement events, including reunions, homecoming, regional and networking events, recognition programs, and campus events.
- Coordinate the Benet Awards process by managing timelines, facilitating communications with stakeholders, and ordering awards and recognition materials.
- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with campus departments and programs to expand alumni involvement, increase visibility of alumni engagement opportunities, and connect alumni with students, faculty, and institutional initiatives.
- Coordinate communications, marketing, and social media efforts through the College's project management platform to support alumni engagement, promote events and institutional initiatives, manage content development, and ensure the timely execution of outreach campaigns and publications.
- Represent the Alumni and Advancement Office in a professional manner when interacting with alumni, donors, campus partners, and community stakeholders.
Requirements
Education
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience
- Experience in a fast-paced office environment where teamwork is and each team member contributes to and celebrates everyone’s success.
- Significant work in non-profit organizations, preferably in advancement, alumni relations, marketing, communications or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in modern office software systems. Experience with database platforms is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
