3rd Shift 10:30 PM Sunday-6:30 AM Friday

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assemble new parts by operating in a fast paced, semi-automated and automated environment within the air disc brake assembly department. The position also troubleshoots station faults and resets equipment as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Performs typical machine shop operations to support assembly operations.
• Performs routine troubleshooting for fault recovery on stations.
• Performs basic routine fault recovery on stations.
• Follows written and/or verbal instructions from Supervisors.
• Performs job duties from verbal and written instructions, prints, and drawings, and other work orders.
• Uses gauges to verify quality products and scraps nonconforming material.
• Assist with machine set-up as needed.
• Is responsible for verifying that own work is in conformance with requirements.
• Performs record keeping duties.
• Performs minor lubrication and machines as required, wipes and keeps machines, tools, and workplace clean and orderly.
• Reports recognized defective material and equipment to supervision.
• Follows all aspects of Standardized Work Instructions.
• Ensure 5S expectations are met
• Performs CIRL activities per the AM calendar.
• Understands and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies (ISO14001). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regard to safety, health, and environmental concerns.
• Understands current quality policies and procedures (IATF 16949). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regard to product quality.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of high school diploma or GED

Uses hand tools and production equipment appropriate to the work performed.

Attendance on the job is essential.

Must be able to work in a team orientated environment.

Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.

Previous Machine Operator Experience Is Preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

May be exposed to moderate heat, light dust, and fumes. Some outside assignments could involve exposure to adverse weather conditions. Adequate hearing protection is required for 85 decibels and above.

The anticipated wage for candidates who will work in Bowling Green, KY is $21.50 per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of Personal Paid Absence every year.
