Property Management Internship
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented intern to assist our Director of Property Management with a data collection project. The project focuses on a portfolio of commercial real estate properties located on Florida's west coast, with the goal of increasing the accuracy and accessibility of data critical to property management activities. The project will focus on various building systems, including life safety, utilities, site lighting, pavement, roofing, HVAC, irrigation, and audio, among others.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and review key data needs and existing data and documents related to building systems, including life safety, utilities, site lighting, pavement, roofing, HVAC, irrigation, and audio, among others.
- Prioritize data needs and plan for data collection activities and site visits required for data collection and documentation.
- Conduct site visits to collect data and documentation related to building systems, including visual inspections, measurements, and photography.
- Organize and maintain collected data and documentation using appropriate software and tools.
- Work closely with the property management team and other departments within the company to ensure data accuracy and completeness, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with the development of reports and presentations summarizing the collected data and its impact on property management activities.
- Attend meetings with the property management team and other stakeholders to provide updates on data collection progress and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing education in construction, engineering, or geographic systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Outlook
- Knowledge and experience with Excel, construction documents, and geographic information systems are beneficial
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
- Project duration of 8-10 weeks
Location: Work will be performed at our corporate office located in University Park Florida, and at our commercial properties throughout Florida.
