Principle Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine, repetitive daily inspection of the building exterior. Notify management of problems/concerns. Perform general grounds-keeping daily.
- Maintain outside of plaza area, through the painting of light pole bases, curbs, and railings, sweeping, washing windows, and general cleanup and maintenance. Trim/depose of tree branches, clear rubbish. Keep disposal areas clean and in a safe condition. Report potholes, pavement problems, cracks, crumbling curbs, heaved cement to management so repairs can be made.
- On call schedule for the weekend is every 4 weeks. A 40-hour work week with additional overtime opportunity M-F 8 AM -5 PM. Must be able to respond to center emergencies on an on-call basis including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 2 years preferred of satisfactory work experience, preferably in a maintenance-related field.
- Ability to work flexible hours and perform duties in an orderly fashion under general supervision.
- Proficient in using key technologies, including iPhone/iPad for mobile productivity, Microsoft Outlook for email management, and various platforms for photo sharing, camera usage and basic internet navigation.
- Valid New York State driver's license is required.
- Ability to navigate a work order system and upload photos as needed.
- Pass Federal DOT physical / ability to drive a vehicle
- Ability to lift 75 pounds, operate necessary equipment, climb ladders to heights up to 25 feet.
- Extended periods of standing, walking, and sitting while driving to locations.
