Responsibilities
- Mow lawns and trim grass using power mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping tools to achieve a neat and uniform appearance.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to enhance the aesthetic appeal of outdoor areas.
- Operate groundskeeping equipment such as blowers, hedge trimmers, aerators, and irrigation systems with precision and safety awareness.
- Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and health; assist with planting and horticultural tasks.
- Manage pesticide application and irrigation systems responsibly following safety protocols to promote healthy growth and pest control.
- Maintain hardscape features like pathways, patios, and retaining walls; perform basic repairs as needed.
- Follow safety procedures diligently during outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
Experience
- Prior outdoor work experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or horticulture is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, lawn care equipment, and irrigation systems is beneficial.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, tree care, gardening, and snow plowing is advantageous.
- Ability to identify plants and pests accurately to support plant health management efforts.
- Knowledge of pesticide management protocols and safety standards required for responsible chemical handling.
