Position Overview:
Seeking a motivated Agricultural Loan Officer to manage and grow a mature loan portfolio while building strong relationships within the local agricultural community. This role is ideal for a professional who brings some lending or agriculture experience, understands the local market, and is eager to continue developing their expertise. The existing portfolio is primarily agriculture-based loans but does/can also include consumer, commercial, real estate and home loans.
Qualifications:
- Experience in agriculture lending, banking, or a related field
- Working knowledge of agricultural operations and rural communities
- Bachelors’ degree in Agriculture, Finance, Business or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with credit analysis and loan structuring
- Professional and effective customer service and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage an established agricultural loan portfolio
- Ensure strong credit quality and client satisfaction
- Build and maintain relationships with local farmers, ranchers, and agribusiness clients
- Evaluate and process loan applications, including operating, equipment, and real estate loans
- Conduct financial analysis, including cash flow, collateral and risk assessment
- Structure loans to align with agricultural production cycles
- Monitor loan performance and follow up on renewals, reporting, and compliance requirements
- Identify opportunities to grow the portfolio through new and existing client relationships
- Stay informed on local agricultural conditions, markets, and community dynamics
- Other non-lending responsibilities as needed or assigned by management
Office Hours:
Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
