Working Conditions
Assignments in this classification may involve periods of standing, walking, or physical activity, including lifting or moving equipment associated with the program. Individuals must be able to supervise students in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings and respond quickly to safety concerns or emergencies. The work environment is variable and reflects the conditions appropriate to the student activity being conducted, which may include classrooms, performance spaces, athletic fields, or off-site venues. Roles may involve exposure to elevated noise levels, require occasional travel for events or competitions, and include evening or weekend hours. For outdoor assignments, work may occur in varying and sometimes inclement weather conditions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
