- Lead oral solid dosage form development for tablets, capsules, multiparticulates, hot melt extrusion, spray dried dispersions, with focus on blending, wet and dry granulation, compression, pan and Wurster coating, and encapsulation to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant manufacturing processes.
- Actively participate in and/or lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and overall productivity within development and manufacturing operations.
- Provide on-the-floor leadership in high-potency manufacturing environments to guide operations, mitigate risks, and uphold product quality.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues in real time and supervise batch execution to ensure process integrity and compliance.
- Design, plan, and execute highly complex scientific work independently across multiple programs, contributing to strategic development of models, procedures, and methodologies.
- Direct and mentor teams of scientists, optimizing workloads, guiding execution, and supporting scientific troubleshooting.
- Shape proposals and resource strategies by integrating technical planning with business priorities and client goals.
- Anticipate regulatory implications and advise cross-functional teams on compliance strategies; ensure audit readiness across scientific programs.
- Drive alignment across disciplines and lead cross-functional projects that support strategic objectives and tactical deliverables.
- Deliver compelling scientific presentations and adapt messaging for strategic audiences, addressing high-level questions and influencing decision-makers.
- Lead client engagements and internal initiatives, proactively aligning stakeholder expectations and advising on long-term scientific and commercial opportunities
- Evaluate complex data sets using statistical tools as required, exercise sound judgment, and adapt advanced techniques to resolve technical challenges and propose competitive innovations.
- Operate, clean, and set up role related equipment and environment in accordance with safety and quality standards.
What You Will Bring to the Role:
- Bachelors Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- Preferred: Masters or PhD in related discipline.
- Minimum Required: 10 plus years of relevant experience.
- In Lieu Of Minimum Requirements: Will accept 8 years and a master’s degree; PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent experience. Some barriers to entry exist at this level, requiring department review and needs of department at this level.
