About the Role
As a Veterinary Assistant in our ER/ICU department, you play a critical role in supporting patient care, maintaining hospital flow, and assisting our technicians and doctors in a fast-paced environment.
This is a hands-on role where initiative, efficiency, and teamwork matter.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with triage and patient intake
- Supporting technicians with restraint, treatments, and procedures
- Patient care including walking, feeding, cleaning, and monitoring
- Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and stocking of treatment areas
- Preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies
- Assisting with lab work and diagnostics
- Supporting client communication with compassion and professionalism
- Helping maintain hospital flow during busy ER shifts
What We’re Looking For
- Two years of veterinary assistant experience required
- Strong work ethic and ability to stay engaged during downtime
- Team-oriented with clear communication skills
- Ability to stay calm, organized, and proactive in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and grow in emergency medicine
- Positive attitude with a focus on patient care and team support
Emergency experience is a plus, but we are happy to train motivated assistants who want to build their skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- $19–$26/hr depending on experience
- Shift differentials for weekend and overnight shifts
