Estimator – Multifamily Construction
Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA – In Office | $70,000–$90,000 | Full-time, exempt

What You’ll Do
- Prepare accurate, detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates across all project scopes
- Analyze architectural and engineering plans to identify project risks and cost drivers
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations
- Collaborate with project managers to develop winning pricing strategies
- Track cost histories and monitor market trends to improve future estimates

- Experience with digital quantity survey tools like On-Screen Takeoff (OST) or PlanSwift
- Understanding of construction specifications and how to translate them into scope sheets
- Familiarity with bid management software (e.g., Procore, BuildingConnected)
- Ability to draft clear, trade-specific bid scopes for subcontractors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 3–5 years of estimating experience in multifamily, mixed-use, or commercial construction
- Strong familiarity with digital takeoffs and estimating workflows
- Bonus: industry certifications, design-build or negotiated project experience, or background with fast-track/value-engineered construction
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday (occasional evening/weekend work based on deadlines)
- Travel: Limited, mostly local or regional site visits for pre-bid walkthroughs or subcontractor meetings; rare overnight travel
- Supervision: Collaborate closely with senior estimators; may guide junior staff or interns on tasks but no direct reports
