We seek a self-motivated, dynamic, and responsible wine/sales professional to join the elite team of Benchmark Wine Group. Three years of wine-industry sales or related experience is required. Professionalism and knowledge of collection-worthy wines are important qualities for this role. Successful candidates will bring the drive to get the job done, and a passion for creating customer satisfaction. You will play a key part in building meaningful relationships with our constantly growing base of VIP wine collectors. Under the direction of the Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of customer communications and relationship-focused sales.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage daily with existing collector customers to assist them with acquiring rare wines for their personal collections
- Develop advisory relationships with new customers
- Reconnect and establish rapport with lapsed customers
- Drive sales performance to achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets
- Work with VP of Operations and Sales and Marketing Manager to identify, implement and strengthen customer retention strategies
- Work with the Marketing Team to assist with development of email offers
- Develop weekly sales planning with Sales and Marketing Manager
- Acquire new customers and expand business with existing customers
- With Marketing Team and Sales and Marketing Manager, construct weekly private offers on existing Benchmark inventory
- Handle all modes of customer communications, including phone, email and other digital communication channels
- Assist Commercial Acquisitions Manager with tastings on new and exciting products that align with our department objectives
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team on the best approach regarding email offers
- Other activities that we may define together to support the Sales & Marketing teams as necessary
Skills and Qualifications:
- Domestic wine knowledge is a must; global wine knowledge preferred
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required; strong skills are a big plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or customer challenges
- Ability to understand and execute instructions
- Ability to solve problems efficiently
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor degree preferred
- Three years or more in related experience

Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, DOE; plus incentives for meeting sales targets
