Part-Time or Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant
Location: Delaware Valley Veterans’ Home | Philadelphia, PA
Benchmark Therapies is looking for a Part-Time or Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at the Delaware Valley Veterans’ Home in Philadelphia.
For nearly 20 years, we have had the privilege of providing therapy services to the veterans and spouses who call this community home. This could be a meaningful opportunity for a PTA who enjoys working with older adults and wants a flexible schedule while still feeling connected to the residents and team they serve.
Our part-time opportunity offers consistent hours, flexibility in scheduling, and access to valuable employee benefits. Our per diem position has no regular monthly commitment. We simply ask that per diem team members work at least once every six months to remain active on our roster.
What You’ll Do
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Help residents improve strength, balance, mobility, safety, confidence, and independence
- Carry out individualized treatment plans based on each resident’s needs and goals
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
- Communicate resident progress, concerns, and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Complete timely and accurate documentation using Net Health and facility systems
- Contribute to a positive and supportive therapy environment
What We’re Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing
- A genuine interest in working with older adults and the veteran community
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented approach
